Browsing habits can be defined as the paths, patterns, and actions that a user takes while using the Internet. This includes searches on Google, behaviors on Facebook, and any other activity online.
The purpose of monitoring users' browsing habits is to try to gather data on their interests, with the purpose of serving advertisements, as well as following the user's path through a website, again with the purpose of advertisement placement. The tracking of habits is usually done through Data Collective Accounts.
